Upon the completion of my bachelors in Fine Arts, major in Design (a positive, eclectic experience which exposed me to graphic, web, object, and exhibition design) I was hired at American Apparel, a clothing retailer and wholesaler. Seizing the challenge, I quickly began working in interior, graphic and lighting design, helping to open new stores and redesigning existing ones across Canada and the United States (New York and Los Angeles).

I have also been working as an independent designer for a number of years. This gave me an opportunity to have a hand in all aspects of the process: managing time and expectations, seeing the big picture and focusing in on the details. Being able to see projects through from the very beginning to full completion has always been satisfying for my anal-retentive nature.

In parallel, I've had the pleasure of working collaboratively (something I have sorely missed in independent practice) in the role of Designer/Art Director in a design studio at Cossette and in advertising at NolinBBDO. During that time, I transitioned almost entirely from print design to web and interactive projects and developed an interest in user experience and interface ergonomics, complementing my hands-on experience with lectures and seminars.
